After finishing technical school I started to work in 1998 as a compositing artist for Brügerfilm, an Austrian film and postproduction company. I soon became leader of the vfx department and worked there until 2002. After that period I started my career as a freelancer. At that time I moved to Berlin and worked in Germany as a flame artist for many different companies.
Since 2003 I also operate as an visual effect supervisor and matte painter. In this period I designed many FX shots and paintings for commercials, music videos and feature films. I worked on more than 300 commercial projects in the last 20 years, including brands like Nike, Mc-Donalds, Citroen, Coca Cola, Volkswagen, Audi and many more. In the last 12 years I have put my focus on film projects and my passion in doing matte paintings.
Moreover, I did many matte paintings including 2D and 3D paintings. Therefore I’m using Photoshop, Maya, Mari, Nuke and lots of other software. I take photos by myself that I require for my paintings.
In the last years I mainly worked as a digital matte painter and concept artist. For projects like "Horizon: Zero Dawn", “Black Panther”, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2", "Star Trek Beyond", "Captain America 3: Civil War", ”Terminator Genisys”, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2", “Avengers Age of Ultron”, ”The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”, “Captain The America Winter Soldier”, “Cloud Atlas”, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”, “X-Men First Class” and many more.
I’m further looking for more interesting digital matte painting, concept art and environment jobs. I would enjoy in doing so in a project you offer me.
